Resetti Reset Service in ACNH 3.0: How to Unlock, Use & Costs

In earlier Animal Crossing games, Resetti was infamous for punishing players who forgot to save.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 3.0, he returns in a very different role—offering Resetti's Reset Service, a powerful tool that helps players quickly clean up and reorganize their islands.

This service is designed for island redesigns, allowing large areas to be cleared in minutes instead of hours.

 

 

What Resetti Can and Cannot Remove

Before using the reset service, it's important to know its limits.

Resetti CAN remove

• Placed furniture and decorative items
• Fencing, ladders, and other placed tools
• Items dropped on the ground
• Cockroaches inside your home

Resetti CANNOT remove

• Trees and bushes
• Vegetables and crops
• Weeds

Weeds must still be cleared by speaking with Leif on Harv's Island.

 

How to Unlock and Use the Reset Service

Unlocking Resetti

After updating to version 3.0, Resetti will appear on your island. Speak with him to unlock the service. He also explains that he's the one answering your Rescue Service calls.

Your first reset service is free.

Available Reset Options

Resetti's Reset Service supports three cleanup scopes:

• Specific Area Reset – Clears a square-shaped section of your island
• Beach Reset – Removes placed items on beaches (shells remain)
• Full Island Reset – Clears all removable items across the island

These options make the service suitable for both small edits and full redesigns.

Resetting a Specific Area

When choosing a specific area reset, Resetti provides a Transceiver:

1.Go to the area you want to clear

2.Use the Transceiver and select "Call Him Over"

3.An orange dotted square previews the cleanup area

Before starting, you'll confirm:

• How flowers should be handled (leave, store, or dispose)
• Whether custom designs should be removed

A final preview is shown, and you can cancel before confirming.

Resetting the Beach or Entire Island

To reset larger areas, speak directly with Resetti. The confirmation process is the same as above, including flower handling, custom designs, and storage space checks.

If your home storage is full, Resetti will warn you and tell you exactly how many additional slots are needed.

Storage Space Tips

All removed items are sent to Home Storage.

How to Calling Resetti Again

After unlocking the service, you can call Resetti by:

1.Visiting Resident Services

2.Speaking with Isabelle

3.Selecting "Call the Reset Service"

The service is unavailable during festivals and events. Resetti will appear somewhere on your island after being called.

 

Cost of Resetti's Reset Service

Resetti charges a daily flat rate:

• First use: Free
• Afterward: 60,000 Bells per day
• Unlimited resets are available for the rest of that day

Resetti's Reset Service FAQ

Q1: If I just want Resetti to deal with cockroaches in my home, can I call him only for that?

Resetti doesn't offer a standalone pest-control service. His ability to remove cockroaches happens as part of a reset action when you clear an area that includes your home. There's no separate menu to only remove pests without choosing a reset option.

Q2: Can Resetti remove weeds or trees?

No. Resetti cannot remove weeds, trees, bushes, or crops. Weeds must be cleared by speaking with Leif on Harv's Island, and trees must be removed manually.

Q3: Will using Resetti's Reset Service affect my island rating?

It can temporarily. Clearing large numbers of decorative items or flowers may lower your island star rating, but it can be restored once you redesign and place items again.
