IconHow to Invite Sanrio (Hello Kitty) Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Since the introduction of the Sanrio Amiibo collaboration in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, many players have been eager to invite adorable Sanrio villagers to their islands. These special characters combine iconic Sanrio designs with the relaxing life-simulation gameplay that defines Animal Crossing: New Horizons, making them a must-have for collectors and themed island builders.

There are six Sanrio-themed villagers in total, each inspired by a famous Sanrio character and featuring a unique personality:

Rilla – A peppy gorilla villager inspired by Hello Kitty

Marty – A lazy bear villager inspired by Pompompurin

Etoile – A normal sheep villager inspired by Little Twin Stars

Chai – A peppy elephant villager inspired by Cinnamoroll

Chelsea – A normal deer villager inspired by My Melody

Toby – A smug rabbit villager inspired by Kerokerokeroppi

For players who want to complete their Animal Crossing villagers collection or design a fully themed island, these Sanrio villagers remain a long-term and exclusive option.

How to Invite Sanrio Villagers to Your Island

To invite Sanrio villagers to live on your island, players must first unlock and build a Campsite. Unlike standard villagers, Sanrio villagers can only be invited using their official Amiibo cards.

Follow these steps to invite them successfully:

1.Visit the Nook Stop terminal inside Resident Services

2.Select Invite a Camper and scan the Sanrio Amiibo card

3.The villager will appear at your campsite

4.Talk to them until they request a crafted item

5.Complete their request on three separate visits

After completing all three tasks, you will be able to invite the villager to permanently move to your island. Keep in mind that only one camper can be invited per day, and your island must have available resident slots.

Crafting requested items and preparing space can require time and resources, especially when managing your ACNH Bells efficiently.

Are Sanrio Villagers Still Relevant in Recent Updates?

Yes. Even as Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to expand with system improvements and new gameplay features, Sanrio villagers and Amiibo-based invitations remain fully supported. Later updates focus on enhancing player freedom and island customization, while established mechanics—such as Campsite invitations and Amiibo compatibility—remain unchanged.

This makes Sanrio villagers a reliable choice for players who care about themed designs, visual consistency, and long-term catalog completion using exclusive AC Items.

Summary: Sanrio villagers are a must-have for collectors and themed island designers. Using official Amiibo cards, players can invite them through the campsite system, complete their requests, and enjoy exclusive furniture sets. Remember to plan your island space and manage resources to make the invitation process smooth.
