DIY Requests are a repeatable crafting system introduced in ACNH 3.0 as part of the Resort Hotel feature. Completing 50 DIY Requests, along with renovating the VIP Room, is required to unlock Nintendo-themed items in Grams' Souvenir Shop.

DIY Requests become available after decorating Room 1 in the Resort Hotel. Once unlocked, a DIY Requests box appears on the pier outside the hotel. By submitting requested DIY items, players earn Hotel Tickets, which are used for rewards and progression tied to the Resort Hotel.

How DIY Requests Work and Rewards

At the pier, the request box displays 4 active DIY Requests at a time. Only the requested items and reward amounts are shown here; the required materials can be checked in the DIY Requests tab on the NookPhone DIY Recipes app or at any DIY workbench.

Requests are always drawn from DIY recipes already learned, though some may require purchased items like Cardboard or Golden series components. Each request must be completed in full; partial submissions are not allowed. There is no daily limit on how many DIY Requests can be fulfilled.

To complete requests faster, players can stock up on materials for crafting to ensure no delay when submitting DIY items.

2.Weekly Bonus Rules

• The first 4 requests of each in-game week grant double Hotel Ticket rewards.
• Replacement requests do not receive the x2 bonus.
• Requests refresh only when entering a new in-game week.
• Unfinished requests carry over to the next day.

3.Bonus Hotel Tickets from Kapp'n

Players receive 50 bonus tickets after completing the first 5 requests and 100 bonus tickets for every additional set of 10 requests. This bonus rewards consistent participation and encourages completing requests in batches.

Completing 50 DIY Requests is required to unlock Nintendo-themed items in Grams' Souvenir Shop. Progress is tracked by the second milestone of the "DIY Goods Wanted!" Nook Miles card. A notification will appear on the NookPhone once the requirement is met.
