When Is Bunny Day 2026?

All Bunny Day Eggs: Locations, Spawn Rates & Mechanics

Eggs are the core resource of the event. Each type is tied to a different activity—and understanding spawn mechanics is key to farming efficiently.

Egg Types & How to Get Them

Egg Type How to Get Spawn Details
Earth Egg Dig fossil spots Max 10/day, 15 on Bunny Day
Leaf Egg Shake hardwood trees Replaces branches/bells
Wood Egg Chop trees Coconut trees have higher rates
Stone Egg Hit rocks Drop rates vary with game progression
Water Egg Fish medium shadows Use bait for efficiency
Sky Egg Shoot striped balloons Main island only; does NOT affect regular balloon spawns

Key Spawn Mechanics

  • Eggs can temporarily replace normal resources (wood, fish, stone, etc.) during the event

  • Mystery Islands (Nook Miles Tickets) have higher spawn rates for all eggs except Sky Eggs

  • Coconut trees boost Wood Egg drop rates

Pro Tip: Use Nook Miles Tickets to farm Mystery Islands for faster egg collection—especially helpful for Earth, Leaf, Wood, Stone, and Water eggs.

All Bunny Day DIY Recipes & How to Unlock Them

There are 37 DIY recipes in total, divided into three categories. You don't need to collect them all to finish the event—only the furniture set is required for the final rewards.

1. Furniture & Decor (15 Recipes)

This set includes furniture, wallpaper, flooring, rug, and fence. These are required to unlock the final rewards.

How to get them:

  • Striped Bunny Day balloons

  • Rainbow-striped message bottles on the beach

  • Villagers (sometimes handed to you)

  • Zipper T. Bunny gives you the Bunny Day Bed DIY on March 29 (or sends it by mail if you miss him)

2. Clothing Recipes (18 Recipes)

Each of the 6 egg types unlocks a matching 3-piece outfit as you collect enough of that egg:

  • Hat

  • Outfit

  • Shoes

After unlocking all 18 clothing DIYs, you'll automatically learn two bonus recipes:

  • Egg Party Hat

  • Egg Party Dress

Zipper T. Bunny: Rewards & Event Progression

Zipper T. Bunny is your main contact for Bunny Day. He appears in the plaza on March 29 (event start) and April 5 (Bunny Day itself).

Start of Event (March 29)

  • Gives you the Bunny Day Bed DIY

  • If you already have it, he gives you a random Bunny Day DIY you don't own

  • If you miss him entirely, he sends the recipe by mail

Final Day (April 5 – Bunny Day)

To unlock the exclusive rewards, follow these steps on Bunny Day:

  • Craft all 15 furniture/decor DIYs – If you've already done this before April 5, you're ready.
  • Talk to Zipper → He gives you the Wobbling Zipper Toy DIY
  • Craft the toy
  • Talk to Zipper again → He rewards you with the Bunny Day Wand DIY

After completing this, Zipper also gives you a Bunny Day Basket as a gift.

Egg Trading System (Available on April 5)

Zipper also offers egg trades to help you balance your collection:

  • 1 of each egg → 1 Bunny Day Basket (repeatable as many times as you like)

  • 3 of the same egg → 1 egg of your choice (great for fixing bad RNG)

Bunny Day Items at Nook's Cranny

During the week leading up to Bunny Day, Nook's Cranny sells special seasonal items for Bells (not crafted):

  • Bunny Day Candy

  • Bunny Day Garden Flag

  • Bunny Day Planter Box

  • Bunny Day Topiary

  • Bunny Day Tree

Check back daily—stock may vary.

Best Bunny Day Farming Tips (Fast Completion)

  • Farm balloons along east and west beaches—striped balloons spawn frequently

  • Use Mystery Islands for higher egg spawn rates (except Sky Eggs)

  • Prioritize Water Eggs early—they're the slowest to collect; craft fish bait to speed up

  • Focus coconut trees for Wood Eggs—they have higher drop rates

  • Trade with friends to complete missing DIYs if RNG isn't in your favor

Bunny Day Completion Checklist

Use this to track your progress:

  • Collect all 6 egg types

  • Unlock all 15 furniture/decor DIYs

  • Unlock all 18 clothing DIYs (optional)

  • Craft Wobbling Zipper Toy

  • Unlock Bunny Day Wand

Happy Bunny Day!

FAQ

Q1: How many Bunny Day eggs are there?

A: Six types—Earth, Leaf, Wood, Stone, Water, and Sky.

Q2: Why can't I find Sky Eggs?

A: They only appear from striped balloons on your main island (not Mystery Islands). Listen for the balloon whoosh and check both beaches.

Q3: Do eggs replace normal resources?

A: Yes, temporarily during the event. Wood, stone, fish, and other resources may be replaced by eggs.

Q4: What's the fastest way to farm eggs?

A: Use Mystery Islands for higher spawn rates (except Sky Eggs), and follow the farming tips above.

Q5: Can I trade eggs?

A: Yes, on Bunny Day (April 5). Zipper offers 1-of-each for a Basket, and 3-of-a-kind for 1 egg of your choice.
